Obituary of Agnes Lutke

Agnes Lutke of Calgary passed away on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the age of 91 years. Agnes was born May 31, 1915 in Dalmeny, SK where she grew up. After her schooling, Agnes began teaching at the Dalmeny Bible School; this led her to attend the Prairie Bible Institute. Following her graduation she went to the Belgian Congo, teaching from 1946-1960. When Agnes returned to Canada she came to Calgary working as a Clerical Clerk with the City until she retired. Agnes devoted her life to her faith, which was expressed in many ways through her long time membership with the Bethany Chapel. Agnes is survived by three sisters, Edna Gilbert, Helga Medd and Myrtle Thiessen and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Annie, Bertha, Martha and Esther and two brothers Pete and Art. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Bethany Chapel (3333 Richardson Way S.W.) on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
