Obituary of Arthur Edwin Johnson
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Arthur Edwin Johnson of Regina, SK in Calgary, AB following a brief illness, on January 6, 2007 at the age of 85 years.
Arthur was born on July 23, 1921 in Neelby, SK. Following high school he attended Luther College before returning to the family farm where he and his brother operated “Johnson Brothers” until 1962. After selling the farm he moved to Regina where he joined the Farm Credit Corporation. His first location assignment with them was in Whitewood, SK, where he spent four years before returning to Regina where he retired in 1986. During the next few years he worked as a consultant for the provinces Farm Debt Review Board. Arthur married Leta Hanson in 1946. Arthur had a fulfilling and happy life. He had found much satisfaction in the years he had spent as a farmer and business man and one who had also tried his hand in the field of politics. He was a very kind and generous man who deeply loved his wife and family and will be greatly missed.
