Obituary of Francene Anne B.Ed

Fran Snukal passed away on Sunday January 7, 2007, corresponding to the 17th day of Tevet, at the age of 62 years. Fran is survived by her husband Jerry; her children Adam (Esther), Jennifer (Gil) and Rebecca. She is also survived by her sister Laura Shuler; her brother Al Shuler (Roz); her mother-in-law Tannis Snukal; and her grandchildren, Ezra, Shami, Eliyam, Ariel, Kobi and Leo. She was predeceased by her parents Hy and Rita Shuler and her son Lanny Paul. Fran taught in the public school system for thirty-three years, specializing in the fine arts, music, drama, art and dance. She received an Excellence in Teaching Award in 1996 and was twice nominated for a Pan Canadian teachers award. Fran’s legacy lives on in the wonderful values she gave to her husband, children, grandchildren and the thousands of students she taught in Winnipeg and Calgary.
