Obituary of Antonio Cordeiro

Antonio Cordeiro, beloved husband of Marieta of Calgary passed away on January 4, 2007 at the age of 73 years. Antonio was born on June 23, 1933 in Sao Miguel, Acores. He married Marieta in February of 1960, and together they came to Calgary in 1970. Antonio worked in the concrete business until retiring in 1985. He enjoyed listening to music, and taking care of his automobiles. He loved being with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Antonio is survived by his loving wife Marieta; daughter and son-in-law Lucy and John Coelho of Calgary; granddaughters Sandra and Tracy. He will also be remembered by his sisters Maria Luisa Raposo of Calgary, Santo Cristo Cordeiro of Brampton, ON, Irene Cordeiro of Toronto; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Antonio Cordeiro and Maria Luisa Pereira, and sisters Maria Gloria Teves, Cisaltina Quintal, and Olivia Raposo. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (4747 – 30th Street S.E.) on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (4747 – 30th Street S.E.) on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
