Obituary of Lena Jaworenko

Lena “Helen” Jaworenko, of Calgary, passed away on Thursday January 4, 2007, at the age of 67 years. Helen was born on February 5, 1939 in Vidir, MB, where she also attended school. She married William in August of 1957 in Winnipeg. Helen owned and operated a taxi business in Ear Falls, ON, until the mid 1980’s when she moved to Calgary to be closer to her family. Helen will be lovingly remembered by four sons, Ken and Denise Jaworenko of Calgary, Duane Jaworenko of Cranbrook, BC, Don Jaworenko of Ear Falls, ON, and Darrell Jaworenko; two daughters, Adeline Jaworenko of Calgary and Joanne Jaworenko of Calgary; six grandchildren, Melissa, Kyra, Janelle, Jordan, Matthew and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Richard and Nicole; as well as a sister, Evelyn Lazaruk of Winnipeg. Helen was predeceased by her husband William in 1997 as well as brothers and sisters.
