Obituary of Lucia Zanzotto

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucia Zanzotto (nee Lepenova) beloved wife of Dr. Ludo Zanzotto and mother of Andrea and Henrietta, of Calgary on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the age of 57 years. Lucia passed away at home surrounded by her family. Lucia was born in Zvolen, Slovakia on November 14, 1949. She received Master’s degrees in Psychology and Economics, and married Ludo in 1973. They immigrated to Canada with their daughters in 1981, and settled in Calgary. Besides her loving husband, Lucia is survived by her two daughters Dr. Andrea Zanzotto (Dr. John Lock) and Henrietta Bor (Thomas); her granddaughter Alexa; her sister Marika; and her three brothers Tiro, Igor, and Klaudo. She is also remembered by her many nieces and nephews; as well as many loving relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Bastigal, Presider.
