Obituary of Carole Dovey

Mrs. Carole Dovey gently passed away on Friday, December 29, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Carole is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jacquie (Dan) Richards and Mrs. Avril (Ray) Lippitt, of Calgary, AB. She also leaves to cherish her memory eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Carole was predeceased by her first husband Jack in 1940 and by Vic in 1988. She was also predeceased by her father, James in 1933; her mother Jemima in 1983; and her sister Etta in 2001. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 3, 1916, Carole later came to Victoria, B.C. as a war bride in 1945. Upon retirement from many years in the retail business, Carole spent her time volunteering, enjoying family and taking many trips to her favourite holiday spot, Hawaii. “Aloha Mom” Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 2:30p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
