Obituary of Marlene Mary Davidson

Marlene Mary Davidson, beloved wife of Charlie Vaskovics of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the age of 64 years. Marlene was born in Dover, England on May 15, 1942. In 1946, she moved with her mother Katé and sister Valerie to southern Alberta. She lived in Medicine Hat as a housewife and mother of three wonderful children. In 1973 they moved to Calgary and Marlene trained as a paralegal secretary. In 1977 she moved to Lethbridge where she worked as a legal secretary for a firm specializing in real estate. In 1979 she returned to Calgary and began her career as a real estate agent for the Sutton Group. She remained active in real estate until retiring in 1998. Marlene had many passions. She was a consummate people-person, with many caring friends. She touched people in a special way wherever she went. She had the rare ability to develop unique relationships with people from all walks of life. Marlene loved the outdoors where she spent much valued time with family and friends. She loved to travel and enjoyed sharing with all her trip to Hungary with her husband Charlie. She loved Christmas and decorating – festive food made her parties special. Marlene loved to garden and spent much time and effort in her own special place – her backyard flower garden. She loved her dogs, Rolley and Grizzly. They were her constant companions. Marlene loved life and made the most of every day. She will be missed by all who knew her. Besides her loving husband Charlie, Marlene is survived by a son Scott and Lee Huff of Kalispell, Montana; two daughters, Alison and John Koopmans of Lethbridge, AB, Colleen Huff and Brenda Swenson of Winnipeg, MB; six grandchildren, Mark, Brad, Matt, Jenna, Cassie, and Joshua. She is also survived by her sister Valerie Rance of Medicine Hat, AB; and brother Raymond and Mary Lynn May of Sherwood Park, AB. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
