Obituary of James Ross Groves

James Ross Groves, beloved husband of Cathy (nee Swaenepoel), passed away suddenly at Foothills Hospital on December 29, 2006 at the age of 51 years. Jim was born at Souris, Manitoba, on April 17, 1955. Upon completion of his education, he took employment with the C.P. Rail, where he continued to work until the time of his passing. Jim was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Trout Unlimited Canada. Both fishing and helping out on “Ken’s” farm were hobbies of his. Besides his loving wife, Jim has left to mourn his children, Michelle, Geoff, and Karen, and his grandson Riley. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Flora and Gordon Groves, as well as his brother-in-law, Robert Duguid. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
