Obituary of Michael Boyle

Michael Boyle passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Sunday, December 24, 2006. Born in Montreal, boyhood in the Maritimes, Michael’s military service took him to work and live in many places across Canada and around the world. During his posting in Germany, he met his beloved second wife, Rina (died April 2005). Michael was very active over the past 20 years in lay ministry at the Sacred Heart Church. He served on the Parish Council and Building Committee, and additionally as a Eucharistic minister and lector. Michael served as an RCIA leader and catechist, helping dozens of adults prepare to be received into the Church. Michael’s deep commitment to his wife during her final illness, his religious devotion and his passion for classical music sustained him in recent years. Survived by sisters, Sheila Lachman (Charles), Mary Labram(Sam); his brother Sandy Boyle (Pierrette). He will also be greatly missed by his stepdaughter Anne “Didi” Buston (Garnet Barlow) and his stepson, Edward Mullens (Gail) and their families.
