Obituary of Helen Armstrong

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, grandmother and great-grandmother on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Helen was born in Holdfast, Saskatchewan and served in the Canadian Women’s Army Corp in the 16th Field Co. Administration Unit as Record’s Clerk. Her husband Stan, her children and her grandchildren were the center of her life. Helen is survived by her four children, Donna (Foster) Phillips, Dr. Wayne (Shirley) Armstrong, Sylvia (Ed) Northey and Linda Armstrong (Dale Lamoureux); nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one brother Mike (Shirley) Chometa and one sister Alice Chometa of Saskatoon, SK. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stan on March 27, 1982; grandchild Shauna Armstrong, her parents and her sister. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Rick Scruggs of Bow Valley Christian Church, Presider. Interment to follow in Field of Honour, Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
