Obituary of Arnold Peter Hildebrandt

Not giving up the fight until the very end, Arnie passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the age of 44 years. Arnie was born September 11, 1962 in Camrose, AB and started his education at Ferintosh School. When the family moved to Calgary in 1971, he continued his education and graduated in 1980 from Ernest Manning High School. After working five years at Heritage Park, his country heart called him back and he moved to Leduc where he worked with Paul Ohlmann Construction and Home Hardware. In 1995 he started his own company, Arnie Hildebrandt Contracting, which he worked at until his illness. Arnie was involved with the Leduc West Antique Society; he volunteered for ten years at the Ukrainian Village; and spent many hours at various toy shows in Alberta and Saskatchewan often winning first prize for his creative displays. Having many cherished memories to fondly remember him by are Arnie’s parents Eli and Olga Hildebrandt; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Daniel Crowell; brother and sister-in-law Lorne and Lesley-An Hildebrandt; three nephews and one niece Dixon, Spencer and Morgan Hildebrandt and Joshua Crowell all of Calgary. Arnie is also survived by his 98 year old grandma Tina Ohlmann of Leduc, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
