Obituary of Robert George Leech

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Leech of Calgary on Sunday, December 24, 2006 with his “girls” by his side. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carole as well as his daughters and their spouses, Lisa and Rob Page and Leslie and Harvey McKernon. He was a wonderful, loving Grandpa to Shayla, Jackson and William Page and Dylan, Abbey and Blaire McKernon. Bob was born on October 20, 1936 in Toronto, ON and moved from Toronto to Calgary in 1963. He began working for J. E. Labbe Applicators in 1968 and became part-owner in 1972. In 1974 he incorporated Labbe-Leech Interiors. Bob was well known for his excellent carpentry and had a love for family, friends and good times. He retired a very successful business man in 1984; however, you could always find him tinkering in his garage and workshop, creating something unique and beautiful for his family. Bob, with his generosity and love for family, will be greatly missed by all who came to know him. Bob and Carole moved to B.C. in 1989 and returned home to Calgary in 2005. At Bob’s request there will be no funeral service. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 215 – 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 1A2 Telephone: (403) 205-3966.
