Obituary of Else Methi

It is with deepest regret and sorrow that the family of Else Methi announces her sudden passing on Thursday, December 21, 2006. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 44 years, Ashim Bhattacharjee; her twin sons, Ken and Colin Bhattacharjee; her brother, Hans Methi; and her family and friends in Canada, Norway and India. Else was born on May 17, 1935 in Lom, Norway. She graduated with a business degree from Hamar College of Commerce and Finance. Else loved the outdoors and had an adventurous spirit. She was a member of the Norwegian national speed skating team and spent much of her free time skiing and trekking in the mountains. She met Ashim in England and they were married in India. They immigrated to Montreal in 1964 and moved to Calgary in 1981. Else enjoyed gardening, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
