Alois Stollbert

Obituary of Alois Stollbert

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our precious husband, father, Opa and friend, Alois Stollert on Thursday, December 21, 2006. Born in Schramberg Germany, he came to Canada in 1956. Although he was proud to become a Canadian, his German heritage was very dear to him. Alois was well known for his excellent carpentry and had a love for family, friends and good times. He also enjoyed singing duets with his wife and was a member of the German Canadian Male Chorus, the Swiss Jodlerklub Heimattreu and the Singgemeinshaft for many years. Alois enjoyed skiing, fishing, gardening, camping, making wine and sharing many travels with his dear “Jansje”. He retired in 2000; however you could always find him tinkering in his garage, creating something unique and beautiful. Alois, with his generosity and love for life, which spread to all he came in contact with, will be greatly missed by all who knew him. “Okey – Dokey my precious – Rest in Peace” Alois is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Anne (Jansje) and her children Tanya and Troy; step daughter Sandra Raugust (Cameron Wight) along with their children, (his dear grandchildren) Cody, Aleeta Anne (his special god-daughter), Damon and Emma. He is also survived by his son Frank (Anne); his daughter Ursula (John) Sullivan and their children; his brother Georg (Karin) in Germany.
