Obituary of Elena Hinayo Vila

Elena Hinayo Vila beloved wife of Frank Vila of Calgary passed away on Friday, December 22, 2006 at the age of 51 years. Elena was born on May 26, 1955 in the Philippines and later immigrated to Canada on November 29, 1990. She married Frank on March 4, 1998 in Calgary. Elena was a hardworking and loving individual who always put others before herself. Besides her loving husband of eight years Frank, Elena is survived by her cherished daughter Unilyn of Calgary. She is also survived by her two sisters, Aurora Hagad and Betty Hinayo; her aunt Magdelena Minor of the Philippines; her uncle Celestino Cuenta and cousins, Linda Cuenta, Edmundo and Lolita Alcaide all of Calgary; as well as other relatives and close friends in the Philippines. Elena was predeceased by her parents Emeteria and Pedro Hinayo and by her brother Raul. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, December 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, December 30, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral (219 – 18th Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
