Obituary of Helen Kaustinen

Helen went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Sunday, December 17, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Helen was born in Nipigon, ON. She was a wonderful lady with many incredible qualities. She was energetic and full of life up until the first few months of her illness. She was also a gentle and compassionate person as she spent many years as a caregiver to the elderly. Helen could always see the good in every person and would go out of her way to help others. Helen was also very involved with her church, Peace Lutheran. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all. Helen is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years Osmo Markku (Mark) Kaustinen of Calgary. She is also survived by her son Mark, daughter-in-law Shannon and two grandsons, Oliver and Spencer of Burnaby, B.C. and by her daughter Nancy and son-in-law Cory Seaman of Calgary. She was predeceased in 1996 by her sister and bother-in-law of Thunder Bay, ON. A service in “Celebration of Helen’s Life” will be held at Peace Lutheran at a future date in January.
