Obituary of Ann McDougall

Ann McDougall, beloved wife of Allan McDougall, of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Ann was born on May 10, 1927 in Lince, Czechoslovakia, and she came to Canada in 1934 with her parents, eventually settling in the Peace River country. She taught school in the Peace River area for a number of years before marrying Allan McDougall on December 26, 1953. As Allan worked with Texas Instruments, Ann and Allan enjoyed living throughout Canada and the United States before settling in Calgary in 1964. After raising her family, Ann returned to work at D?Allaird’s, a ladies clothing boutique. Ann had a passion for sports, travelling, needlework and she enjoyed nature immensely. She was a talented curler and ball-player. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Besides her loving husband, Allan, Ann is survived by her three children, Dr. Hugh McDougall (Dr. Jeri Fritz), Dr. Laura McDougall (Jerome McQuilkin) and Kent McDougall (Therese Mereau); her grandchildren, Carly, Elizabeth, and Isabel McQuilkin, and Natalie and Conrad McDougall. Ann is also remembered by two sisters, one brother; several nieces and nephews; as well as many loving friends. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
