Obituary of Patricia Emily Curtis

At home, overlooking her beloved mountains and surrounded by her family who loved her so deeply, Pat passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2006. Left to mourn are her husband of forty-seven years Archbishop Barry Curtis; their children Michael (Debra), Jeffrey (Brigitte), Jennifer (Cyrus) and Alison (Jonathan). She also leaves her loving grandchildren Rachel, Rebecca, Jonah, Callum, Lukas and Georgia; her sister Phyllis Freeborn (Bruce); as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Pat was a teacher, a marriage and family life educator, a spiritual director, a retreat conductor and a teacher of contemporary spirituality. Her life was blessed by her love of God, family and friends, her compassion, joy, infectious laughter and love of the outdoors. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday December 18, 2006, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 – 8th Street S.W.) on Tuesday December 19, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
