Obituary of Mary Helen Faltus

Mary Helen Faltus (nee Wysylucka), beloved wife and mother, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Mary Helen was born on December 7, 1931 in Calgary. She was an active member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary throughout her early years. On July 7, 1951 she married the love of her life, Morris Faltus. At the age of 56, Mary Helen joined Morris in following his dream of becoming members of the Alberta Gold Prospectors Association. This began what they referred to as the happiest days of their life together, panning for gold in BC with friends. Mary Helen is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Betty Faltus of Calgary, Richard and Eileen Faltus of Sherwood Park, and Jerry and Angie Faltus of Millarville; her five grandchildren, Douglas Andrew, Samantha, Katherine, and Robert; and by her two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Amanda. She is also survived by her best friends Marion and Manuel Dabrowski as well as many other close friends. Mary Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Morris; her beloved mother Annie Wysylucka; her half-brother Mick Sampson; and her grandson Richard Faltus Jr. A Celebration of Mary Helen’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
