Obituary of Edna Merle Ames

Edna Merle Ames (nee Smith), beloved wife John Ames of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Edna was born on June 29, 1919 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Larry (Sandy), Pat (Ken), Joanne (Jim), Terry (Paul), George (Linda), and Wendy (Steve), all of Calgary, and Julie (Bob) of Medicine Hat. She will also be missed by 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Edna was predeceased by her husband John Claude, and son John Glen. A Celebration of Edna’s Life will be held at Gateway International Church (235 8A Street NE) on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor David Benjamin, Presider.
