Obituary of Llewellyn Leonard Goddard

Lou Goddard, beloved husband of Joan Goddard of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Lou was born on September 24, 1929 in Cudworth, SK and was raised in Vonda, SK. He graduated from Campion College in Regina, and began working in the heavy equipment industry for R.J. Fyfe. He then moved to Tobin Tractor where he worked as Comptroller until his retirement. Lou married Joan Bitschy on January 27, 1951, and had two daughters. They lived in Regina for many years, and moved to Calgary in 1996. After retirement he began L & J Enterprises, and will be remember fondly by his many clients. Besides his loving wife Joan, Lou is survived by his two daughters, Kim Goddard (Rod Truax) of Edmonton, and Rhian (Barry) Silvennoinen of Calgary; his much-loved cat, Willie; four grandchildren, Tyler (Dee) Fladager, Tanner Goddard-Fladager, Teagen Goddard-Fladager, Raili Silvennoinen; sister Margaret McWilliam; and his brother Maurice (Hannah) Goddard. Lou was predeceased by his parents and his brother George Goddard. Lou will be remembered for zest for life, his sense of humour, and his love of steaks and “coolies”.
