Obituary of Theresa Solowiej

Theresa Solowiej of Calgary passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Beverly Care Centre Glenmore. Theresa was born on December 25, 1923, in Marko, Hungary. She arrived in Calgary in March, 1952 from Germany and worked here at the Holy Cross Hospital for over twenty years. Her retirement years were dedicated to her grandchildren, her home and her garden. Theresa has been a faithful member of St. Gerard’s Parish since the mid 1960’s. She has always faced life’s challenges with faith, grace, dignity, strength and courage. Theresa is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Anna and Manuel Stumpfhauser-Hernandez; daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Robert Kimoff; her grandchildren Manuel and his wife Karla, Daniel, Victor, Michelle and Braden; her sister and brother-in-law Mary and Sebastian Brenner; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Alex Osz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Theresa Stumpfhauser. Our family would like to express our gratitude to the caring staff of Unit 300 at the Beverly Care Centre.
