Gerry often took me golfing at Lakeside Golf course....but never let me win. He was a father figure influence, and easy to talk to.

Gerry never put up with BS. Gerry was black and white in the best way, and always great for input, humour, and insight.

Even in the last month of his life, we spent hours talking in the hospital room about everything.
