Obituary of Mary Ebbs

Mary Ebbs (nee Dillon) beloved wife of the late Lawrence Ebbs of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the age of 74 years. Mary was born on December 8, 1931 in Spennymoor, England. She immigrated from Scotland to Nashwaaksis, NB in 1967 and in 1973 moved west to Calgary. She was married to Lawrence (John) Ebbs on July 21, 1951. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors, fishing and bird watching. One of her favourite places being Skookumchuk, BC where she enjoyed twenty years of family vacations. Mary also enjoyed laughter, all types of music and playing bingo and was a crossword puzzle enthusiast. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished life and her family. Mary is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Myra and Arlin Good of Cranbrook, BC, and Cherrith and Edward Figiel of Calgary; grandson, Michael Figiel of Calgary; granddaughters, Jacqueline Figiel of Calgary and Tracy Good and her Fiancée Eric Potulicki of Ymir, BC; as well as extended family and friends in the United Kingdom. Mary’s greatest challenge was the loss of her husband John on May 12, 1997.
