Obituary of Alan Johnston

Alan (Al) Edward Johnston, beloved husband of Emely Johnston of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24th, 2006 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 88 years. Alan enlisted for active duty, serving as a signalman for the term of World War II (1939-1945). He worked in sporting goods, specializing in ski repairs and retired to enjoy woodworking, golfing and especially square and round dancing, which he and Emely were active in for thirty-five years. Besides his loving wife Emely, Al will be dearly missed by his son and daughter in law, Bruce and June Johnston, daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Chris Cambridge, grandchildren, James, Kristy, and Deanna Cambridge, sisters, Margaret Weimer and Evelyn Ralston.
