Obituary of Michael John McNerney

It is with regret that we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather and brother, John McNerney, peacefully, on Tuesday November 21, 2006, at the Foothills Medical Centre. John will always be remembered by his daughters Nancy and Jennifer and their husbands Bill Grant and Hugh Morgan; his grandchildren Alex and Margot and Lexie and Liam. He is also survived by his sisters Edith, Norine and Veronica (Ron); his sister-in-law Oonagh; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Maureen; his brothers Bill and Frank; and his sisters Wilhemina and Isabel. John was born in Toronto, served as a radio operator in Europe during the second world war and in the merchant marines following the war. He owned and operated one of the first television repair businesses in Calgary and later Tuner Sales and Service. He volunteered with Bethany Lifeline. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday November 28, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
