Condolences
With the loss of another former student, I sit at my computer and pour over photographs in my archives…I always took so many…and I think how precious every last one of my students is to me, still. Melanie, you were athleticism…you were energy…you were bursting with life and spirit and light. I am thinking about you…and your family. My gosh…a 34 year old…you are forever Junior High aged in my mind! Did I make you write one of those ‘dumb’ magic journals? Oh, how I hope you kept it tucked away! Your life was a precious thing! And, you were beautiful! As I’ve become a Gramma this past month, I can not help but think what a tremendous loss this is, because as a teacher, I feel it to my core. You made a difference to me, Melanie. ….unable to attend the Monday service because I was teaching, but I have your family always in my heart.

Melanie was a great friend that I met many years ago now in Calgary. She played hard and worked ever harder. We had the pleasure of her visit last in Costa Rica. Many great times camping she was a great and funny girl. A great loss for us all. Tammy and Mels parents. My heart goes out to you as to all the great friends she made on her journey. Cheers to you Mel. Love David.
