Obituary of Rex Howard Young

Rex Howard Young of Springbank passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Rex was the son of Captain Rex and Jean (Robinson) Young. Rex was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Copithorne) Young. Rex and Dorothy farmed in the area west of Calgary all their lives and were active members of their community. Rex was a supporter of 4-H, and served on the Boards of the Springbank United Church and the Springbank Community Hall Association. Rex is remembered by his son Gary Young; daughters Brenda (Will) Goode and Maureen (Milo) Munro; grandchildren Brian Hanson, Reg Hanson and Laureen Hanson, Shawn (Lynn) Munro, Shannon Munro (Ryan Brood) and Corbin Munro; great grandchildren, Connor and Grady Munro, Dakota, Tate, Zane and Morgan Hanson and their mother Holly. He is also survived by his sister Olive Gosling and brother Alan (Claire) Hodgson. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
