Obituary of William Anthoni Costantini

William Anthoni (Tony) Costantini, M.D. (Dr.”C”), beloved husband of Rose Costantini, of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Tony was born on February 5, 1920 in Winnipeg, MB. He studied at the University of Manitoba, receiving an M.D., and specializing in Orthopaedic Surgery. He started his career as a staff member of the Saskatoon City Hospital, and moved to Calgary in 1963, where he continued to practice at the Calgary General Hospital and the Peter Lougheed Centre. Tony was a Captain in the Canadian Medical Corps, receiving a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and War Medal. His greatest passions were his family, work and music. Besides his loving wife Rose, Tony is survived by his son Gerard (Ruth); daughter Laverna (Dr. Norman Dang); as well as his granddaughter Elena. He is also survived by his sister Edith; two sisters-in-law, Margaret, of Winnipeg and Kay of Minneapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by two brothers, Don and Syd; and two sisters Lucy and Mary. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Inocencio C. Cambaling, Presider.
