Obituary of Frank Steeves

Frank Maynard Steeves, beloved husband of Betty Steeves of Calgary, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday November 19, 2006, at the age of 78 years. Maynard was born on February 25, 1928 in Edgett’s Landing, NB to the late Ernest and Vanessa Steeves. Maynard retired in 1989 after thirty-five years at the TD Data Centres in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary. He continued to keep active with various volunteer activities. Besides his passion for his Lord, Maynard cherished times together with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed playing practical jokes. Other things that he enjoyed included woodworking, music and long drives in the country. Maynard is lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty; son Mark and wife Evelyn Steeves of Innisfail; son Glenn and wife Joyce of Sherwood Park; daughter Kathy of Calgary; grandchildren Jennifer (Nii), Trevor, Stacey (Luke), Stephanie, Jocelyn (Devan); great-grandchild Mason; sister Freda Wheaton; sister-in-law Mary Steeves, both of NB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold and Raymond Steeves. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at First Evangelical Free Church (732 – 55th Avenue S.W.) on Thursday, November 23, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
