Obituary of Connor Rhys Simpson

Connor Rhys Simpson (Newfie), died tragically on Saturday, November 18, 2006. Born in 1989, Connor believed in living life fully and with great happiness and joy. ‘No worries’ was more than just an expression to him, it was his philosophy. Compassionate and caring, fun and loving – these words and many more describe our son, brother and good friend. Connor leaves his parents Jim and Donna; brother Gareth; grandparents; and many family and friends. When he was long boarding down a big hill, he said he felt the best. He & his friends had been long boarding that evening and we know that his day and his heart were full of laughter & love. A service of celebration will be held at Scarboro United Church (134 Scarboro Avenue S.W.) on Wednesday November 22, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. Both Camp Kasota where he had been a counselor this summer and Naramata were special places to him. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Naramata Centre (Box 68 Naramata, B.C. V0H 1N0) or Camp Kasota West (Half Moon Bay Site 2 Comp 22 R.R. 1 Sylvan Lake, AB T4S 1X5).
