Obituary of Joseph Hadala

Joseph Hadala of Calgary, beloved father and husband, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Joseph was born in Choderkowce, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1948. During the Second World War he served in the Allied Army, 2nd Polish Corps and saw action throughout the Middle East and Italy, where he received the Cross for Valour and Cross of Monte Cassino. Joseph will be sadly missed by his wife, Walda Hadala; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Linda Hadala; daughter, Helena Hadala; granddaughter, Lisa Hadala and her husband, Richard Gibbons. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Hadala; cousin, Bronia Hanus; nieces, Donna, Sophie, Christine, and Grazina; and nephews, Stanley and Peter. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Thursday, November, 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph’s Section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
