Obituary of Edmund Wachtler

Ed Wachtler of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday November 15, 2006, at the age of 80 years. Ed was born on March 27, 1926 in Sweetgrass, Montana, and was raised in the Milk River area. He and his family moved to Calgary in the 1960’s and he worked for LaFarge for many years, retiring in 1990. Ed is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Philip and Donna Wachtler; daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Ephram Bouvier; daughter Jeanette Wachtler; daughter-in-law Cindy Wachtler; grandchildren and their spouses, James, Douglas, Edmund, Victoria (Dean), Derek, Tammie, Colleen (Rich), Nicole, and Courtenay; and great-grandson Bradon. Ed is also survived by his special friend Agnes; a brother and three sisters. Ed was predeceased by his wife Mert in 1991; son Tom in 1996; and son Gregory in 1957. Friends and relatives are invited to prayers and tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev.
