Obituary of Al Schwab

Al Schwab of Airdrie passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Al was born December 4, 1928 in Scott, Saskatchewan and moved to Alberta in the late 60’s. In 1981 he moved to Airdrie where he remained until his passing. Al retired from a long career as a truck driver in 1993. He was a huge sports fan and an avid arm chair enthusiast. Al will be dearly missed by his family. Al is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Nina and Keith, Caroline and Sean and Donna and Gary; eight grandchildren, Rob, Lee, Samm, Woody, Adele, Halee, Dane and Jagar and one great-granddaughter, Zoe. He is also survived by four brothers, Carl, Bert, Martin and Val; three sisters, Emily, Irene and Gloria. Al was predeceased by his wife of twenty-three years, Lois and his sister,Sr. Caroline. Funeral Services will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, (508 – 3rd Ave. S.E.), Airdrie, AB. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery.
