Obituary of Bela Ufir

It is with sadness that I announce the sudden, peaceful passing of my father, Bela Ufir, on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at the age of 79 years. Bela was born in Budapest, Hungary on April 9, 1927. In 1956, he decided to leave everything behind and immigrate to Canada with his wife Rozalia and daughter Ildiko. Through struggle and self-sacrifice, he and his wife were able to build a better life and give a brighter future to their daughter. He will be forever appreciated and loved by his daughter Ildiko for his courage and determination. Bela is survived by a sister Gabi; and several other relations, all of Hungary. He is also survived by a cousin Rozsika of Toronto. Bela was predeceased by his wife Rozalia in 2005. Respecting Bela’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.
