Obituary of Naomi E. Coffman

Naomi E. Coffman, beloved widow of Richard C. (Dick) Coffman, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at the age of 80 years. Naomi was born to Walter and Julia Boswell in Denver, Colorado, the fourth of four children. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1944. Naomi was working for Jones-McGlaughlin in Tulsa, OK, when she met the love of her life, Richard C. (Dick) Coffman. They married in 1955. Dick was a geophysicist for Imperial Oil for twenty-six years and during that time they lived in Calgary, Edmonton, Indonesia, Dawson Creek, Houston and back to Calgary where they retired in 1982. Naomi and Dick spent their winters in Mesa, AZ, at their second home, where they spent time rock hounding, bird watching and playing golf. Naomi was also an accomplished artist, seamstress and bridge player. Richard preceded Naomi in death by two months. Naomi is survived by her two sisters, Peggy Wilson and Betty Spann, both of Fruita, Colorado; her brother Darwin Boswell of Denver, Colorado; sixteen nieces and nephews; as well as a multitude of loving friends. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
