Obituary of Mary Desmarais

Mary Desmarais passed away on November 9, 2006, at the age of 90 years. Mary was born in Marengo, SK, moving to Calgary for nursing school. She graduated from the Holy Cross Nursing school in 1941. After her marriage to Tony, Mary’s focus in life turned to her family and has remained the most important thing to her. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children Marty Desmarais, Ann and Jack Scrymgeour, Tom and Georgia Desmarais, Rene Desmarais, Rosemary and Bob Rokosh, Denise and Ray Walker and Rick Desmarais; her grandchildren and their spouses Ami (Scott), Todd (Gina), Stacey, Brian, Carly (Aaron), Christy (Deven), Rory (Amber), Luke, Marsadie (Jim), Jill (Michael), Michael, Scott, Cory (Laura), Greg, Brady, Courtney and Amanda; her great-grandchildren Shaelynn, Nicholas, Maya, Isaac, Noah, Jacob, Ethan, Hunter, Isabella and Ivy. She will also be remembered by her daughters-in-law Chris and Marlene Desmarais; sister and brother-in-law Jean and Brian Jenkins. She was predeceased by her husband Tony; son Bob; and sisters Babe and Evelyn. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Sunday November 19, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Monday November 20, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with the Very Rev.
