Obituary of Mary Marshall

Our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Avis passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2006 into God’s caring hands, at the age of 94 years. Avis was born in Cochrane, AB, on September 3, 1912 (her delivery detained her doctor from attending the first day of the first Calgary Stampede) she joined the Royal Canadian Airforce and served during World War II, nursing at the military hospital in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Avis and Jim were married, August 9, 1945 and made their home on Bow Crescent where she resided until 1992, when she moved to Bow View Manor. Avis will be lovingly remembered by her brother Gordon (Cec) Tempany; daughter, Louise (Brian) Cervi; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Avis was predeceased by her husband Jim, December 25, 1991, and her daughter Ann, June 30, 2006. Many thanks to the wonderful staff of Bow View Manor, particularly her caregivers on Crowfoot Wing and to Dr. Addison for their affection and loving care.
