Obituary of Rita Arlene Russell

Arlene Russell, beloved wife of Hugh of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the age of 56 years. Arlene was born on January 1, 1950. She married J. Hugh Russell on December 23, 1967. Arlene was very active in her family’s lives. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always opened her home to anyone in need. Arlene will be sadly missed and is survived by her loving husband Hugh of thirty-eight years; her children, Samantha (Shawn) Smith, Theodore Russell (Tracy Adams), all of Comox, BC and Amanda Russell (Jake Burns) of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Trista, Eric, and Joel Smith, Jesse and Dylan Adams, and Chelsea and Logan Burns; her parents, Wesley and Florence Burton of Strathmore, AB; two brothers, Bruce (Donna), Del (Tara); four sisters, Caroline (Murray), Kathy (Larry), Verna (Joe), Lois (Doug); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral Services will be held at Marlborough Pentecostal Church (3812 Marbank Drive N.E.) on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Simon Clarence, Presider.
