Obituary of Ivy May Patterson Thornton

On Tuesday, November 7, 2006 we said goodbye to our beloved mother and grandmother Ivy Thornton. The greatest joy in Ivy’s life was her family and we enjoyed many happy years together. Ivy spent a majority of her life in Montreal and then later in Calgary where she and Bert moved to enjoy their retirement with their family. Ivy was predeceased by her husband Bert and will be greatly missed by her daughter Heather; grandchildren, Michael and Nancy, Tim; niece Irene; and great-granddogs, Charlie and Nico. A Gathering will be held at the family residence at a later date. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the staff of McKenzie Towne Care Facility who were so caring to Ivy and supportive to Heather.
