Obituary of Giovanni Loria

Giovanni Loria, beloved husband of Serafina Loria, of Calgary passed away peacefully with family at his side on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the age of 93 years. Giovanni was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy on October 4, 1913. He immigrated to Calgary in 1952 and worked for the City of Calgary for thirty years. He was a kind, generous man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Besides his loving wife Serafina, Giovanni is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick and Marybeth Loria of London, ON and Joe Loria of Calgary; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Kimberly and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Mya as well as numerous extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Maria Teresa. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.Bryan K.
