Obituary of Anna Spilak

It is with gentle solitude and sadness that we announce the passing after a brief illness of Anna Spilak, of Kelowna BC, formerly of Calgary and Vauxhall, AB, on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at the age of 100 years, Anna went to be with God. Left to cherish Anna’s memories is her loving family; two sons, Larry Spilak (Danielle), Vince Spilak (Brenda); four daughters, Mary Sander, Margaret Ingalls (Murray), Cecile Bulva (Joseph) and Jean Lorenson (Rick); eleven grandchildren, Benjamin Spilak, Gregory (Lauren) Ingalls, Kevin (Kathy) Ingalls, Dean (Julie) Ingalls, Terri (Dave) Webster, Dona (Bill) Trask, Ashley Spilak, Michael (Kasia) Bulva, Jennifer (John) MacDonald, Darren (Mona) Lorenson and Heather (Scott) Annett; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Annika Trask, Jacob Webster, Melanie Webster, Madeline Ingalls, Eric Ingalls, Grace Ingalls, Daniel Ingalls, Wilson Ingalls, Gillian Ingalls, Emma Ingalls Mateo Bulva, Jessica MacDonald, Justin MacDonald, Joel Lorenson and Mya Lorenson. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years John Spilak, on July 20, 1990; by her parents; two sisters and a brother who all resided in Lipa, Slovenia. Anna was also predeceased by two infant children, Katherine and Joey. God saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered “Peace be thine.” “Mom we know you are in God’s hands – He didn’t forget you and neither will we!” Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Bogdan Sianozecki SDS, Presider. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
