Obituary of Felicidad Abdon Deleniana

Felicidad Abdon Deleniana passed away on November 6, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Felicidad was born on June 18, 1916 in Batangas City, Philippines. While in the Philippines, she owned and operated a successful restaurant. She came to Calgary in 1969, and moved to Toronto in 1971. In Toronto, she was the successful owner of “Pilipino 50”. Felicidad returned to Calgary in 2004 to be near her daughter. Felicidad will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Mercedes (Edith) and son-in-law Leopoldo (Pol) Medina of Calgary; son-in-law Buddy Paras of Toronto; grandchildren Marites, Bim, Lizza, and Noel of Toronto, Joan of Edmonton, and Janet of Calgary: great grandchildren Nestor Jr., Dallas, Nike, Nolan, Rayden, Noah, Bode and Neal of Toronto, and Jordan of Calgary, and Kendall of Edmonton. She will also be missed by her sisters Consuelo Gempes and Eding Abdon of the Philippines and sister-in-law Flora Deleniana of Toronto, as well as several nieces and nephews. Felicidad was predeceased by her husband Toefilo and daughter Nelia Paras. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Tuesday, November 7 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Prayers and Tributes at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive N.E.) on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
