Obituary of Daniel Paul McCullough

Daniel Paul McCullough, beloved husband of Shelley of Calgary, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Daniel was president of Macl1n Ford, Canada’s longest established Ford Dealership. In addition to being a successful business man of great integrity, Daniel donated much of his time and energy. He was the Past President of the Calgary Motor Dealers Association, 1965 and Past President of the Motor Dealers Association of Alberta, 1973. He was also on the Board of Directors and President of the Providence Child Development Centre, a Past Recipient of the TIME QUALITY Dealer Award for Alberta, President of the Calgary and District International Aid Society – Sponsor of the Miles for Millions, President of the Dinosaur Society 1965, Recipient of the Human Relations Award Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, April 28, 1975. In addition, Daniel was a long time member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Calgary. He was honoured to be a co-worker of Mother Teresa with the Missionaries of Charity. He had a strong faith, a great love of people, a wonderful sense of humour and was an eternal optimist. Danny enjoyed travelling to warm, sunny beach destinations. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his alma mater, Notre Dame University. “Go Irish!” Danny was a supportive, caring husband, a loving, involved father and grandfather, a fun-loving uncle and a friend to all. Besides his loving wife Shelley, Danny will be deeply missed by his two daughters and son-in-law, Rosa McCullough-Greiff and Caesar Greiff and Katie McCullough; and by his three grandchildren, Tyler, Tyrone, and Tyson. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Sue McCullough; sisters and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Mel Shannon, and Barbara McCullough; brother-in-law John Ayer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Daniel was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Dorothea and by his sister Noreen Ayer. Relatives and Friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 7:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Very Rev.
