Obituary of Mary Lipovski

We are sad to announce the peaceful and dignified passing of Mary Theresa Lipovski on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the age of 97 years. She leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of her loving family, extended family, and the many friends who knew her. Mary was born in Yablunkov, Czechoslovakia on January 31, 1909. She married Joseph Lipovski in Coleman, Alberta in 1928. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She has left us with indelible memories to cherish ever more. May she rest in peace. Mary leaves to mourn, her children Henry Joe (Vivian) and Gerald John (Isabel); nine grandchildren, Michael (Brenda), Sandra Woods, Terrence (Doreen), Patrick (Kelly), Catherine Forbes (Ron), Thomas (Leslie), Kathleen Helal (Michael), Deborah Whitely (Marvin), Angela Johnston (Brian); and twenty great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her three sisters, Helen Lusicich, Emma Gris (Reg), Ann Kiely (Allan); a brother-in-law Joe Yurchevich (Jean); many nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family members. Mary was predeceased by her father George (Jiri) Bielesch (1961), mother Mary Frances Bielesch (1981); beloved husband Joseph Frank Lipovski (1970); an infant daughter Eva Mary (1932); two brothers Joe (1977) and John (1982); and four sisters Stephi Janostak (1984), Joanna Kufova (1989), Greta Yurchevich (1989) and Agnes Montalbetti (2004). Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bogdan Sianozecki Presider.
