Obituary of Kok Ying Fong

Kok Ying Fong, beloved wife of the late John Fong, of Corner Brook, passed away suddenly as the result of a tragic motor vehicle accident on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Kok Ying and her husband John operated the former “John’s Store” on Humber Road in Corner Brook. After John’s passing, Kok Ying would eventually move to Calgary to be near her son Mun, where she has resided for the last nine years. Kok Ying is survived by her son Mun Fong of Calgary; her daughter Siu Fong of Toronto; three brothers; one sister; as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents and three brothers. Funeral Services were held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service followed at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
