Obituary of Ormand Jay Anderson

Andy Anderson beloved husband of Olive Anderson of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 88 years. Andy was born in Stirling, ON on February 24, 1918. He was raised in Trenton and when he finished Trenton College he began his work at Ontario Hydro up until he joined the Army. He was a WWII and D-day veteran. Upon his return he met and married his beloved wife Olive in 1951 and together they had four children. Andy worked for Flintkote of Canada Missaussaga, ON. In 1957 he transferred to London, to cover off Southern Ontario as a Sales Representative. Andy retired in 1980, following this he and Olive moved to Calgary in 1988 to be closer to his family. Andy and Olive enjoyed travelling, especially the West Coast in Canada and the United States. Andy was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over sixty years. Besides his loving wife Olive, Andy is survived by his daughter Kim and her husband Zel Zuvela and their children Mitchell and Jennifer, all of Calgary; his son Rick and his wife Wanda, and their children Lesley and Scott, all of White Rock. Andy was predeceased by his son Jan Arthur in 1960 and by his daughter Jill Mary-Anne in 1974. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
