Tammy Bugeaud

Obituary of Tammy Bugeaud

On Friday evening, October 13, 2006, my lovely and loving wife Tammy Bugeaud (nee Berday) suddenly passed away. She is going to carry on through our wonderful young boys, Tyler and Chase, in whom she instilled the caring and loving for other people that her parents, Milt and Elaine Berday of North Portal, Sask., helped instill in her. She’s gone too young, leaving our family, including her parents, her loving brother Doug Berday and his partner Dianna Schwab, as well as relatives and extended family including Brian and Donna (nee Berday) Collison’s family, Rob and Angie Berday’s family, David and Lori (nee Berday) Duske’s family, Dick and Tania Berday, David and Linda Jones’ family, and her numerous friends, to mourn her passing and cherish the time we spent with her. Tammy was born in Estevan, SK, and raised on the family farm near North Portal. As a girl she was interested in sports, especially figure skating and curling. She was a hairdresser in early adulthood. We met 25 years ago and have been together all that time, being married the last 18 years. At first we lived together in Kindersley. We decided to pursue careers. We moved to Saskatoon for university, her mostly working until I was done. When we moved to Calgary she took an accounting program. She never became an accountant; our first boy, Tyler, came along and Tammy did what she was put here to do, love people and raise our children. Tammy threw herself into our boys’ lives and regularly volunteered for their activities from pre-school up. If Tammy knew you, she cared about you. She knew your spouse’s name, your children’s names and usually your birthday and anniversary, where you met your spouse and if people in your family were celebrating successes or suffering pain; she knew, she remembered and she cared. Tammy cared about people and, in turn, people cared about her. In the past few years, always with our boys and often with relatives and friends, we spent a great deal of time together on holidays in Hawaii, Mexico, Florida, California, and other places including most recently our summer condo in Kelowna where we shared our best summer. These memories are going to help the rest of us. Gary Bugeaud A Celebration of Life will be held at Westside King’s Church (3939 69 Street S.W.) on Friday October 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
