Obituary of Lawrence Sivertson

Lawrence “Ward” Sivertson, beloved husband of Kim of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 9, 2006 from a brain aneurysm at the age of 41 years. Ward was devoted to his family and he and Kim enjoyed an active life together with their daughters, Hannah and Nicole, which included many outdoor recreational activities including camping, canoeing and skiing. Ward had a keen interest in fly fishing which entailed tying his own flies and building his own rods. He also loved spending time with his children, family and friends. Ward was a drummer and played at the Canyon Creek Christian Fellowship Church which the family attended. Ward was involved in sales and services of heavy equipment control systems as owner and operator of Contractors Supply Ltd., which was recently purchased by Mountainview Systems Ltd. Ward was excited about being employed by Mountainview as it gave him the opportunity to concentrate his attention on the emerging area of GPS technology applied to the industry. Besides his loving wife Kim, Ward will be remembered by his daughters, Hannah and Nicole; his parents Raye and Barb Sivertson; brother Graeme; and grandmother Margaret Sivertson, all of Edmonton; his father and mother-in-law Marc and Myrina Poncelet; brother-in-law Greg Poncelet; sister-in-law, Rochelle Poncelet and her spouse Jaye Ursulescu, all of Calgary; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
